New Happenings:
The shipment of Laidong 20hp engines arrived yesterday (July 27) and are now safely stored in the warehouse along with a good supply of spares. Also arrived are two 3-cylinder AG style engines (vertical tractor type). Engines are available for purchase now, price on the 20hp Laidong is $1650 and the 35hp 3 cylinder is $3150. Depending on sales, I hope to order a further container load later this year. Pictures supplied by my Chinese Q.C. overseer are on the “Chinese diesel engine” page.
I also have a good assortment of spare parts for the
lister-type engines – complete heads, con rods, crankshafts, camshafts etc – please call for details.
As an additional benefit to customers, all of the genheads I have for sale are now Electrical Safety Authority approved. This approval requires field inspection of each unit and certification that the units are suitable for North American use -(equivalent to CSA).

 Welcome to the Belleghuan web site. By following the links you will discover the wonders of reliable off-grid and back-up power solutions, using old technology that is virtually indestructible and requires little maintenance. These systems are ideal for those considering building on a site not served by Hydro, for back up and for those few brave souls who feel that getting "off-grid" is for them.
Who we are
Belleghuan Ltd is a small two person company that provides a unique line of off-grid and back-up power solutions. We specialize in Lister and Changfa engines along with heavy-duty generator heads. We source our products in India and China and take every care to ensure the items we select are of the best quality. We have associates in the U.S., Australia and New Zealand. Due to large volume purchases we have been able to enter into exclusive contracts with our suppliers and to ensure that they provide the best quality products to the market and maintain strict quality control standards.
Belleghuan is located on a farm property in rural Eastern Ontario approximately 35 miles East of Canada's capital, Ottawa. On July 26th, 2006 we went totally off-grid. It took a bit longer than anticipated, but as usual, other people's needs came before ours and our personal project was delayed. This is a big step to take but if you feel the need to be truly independent, it is something to consider. One of our customers, using a very similar set-up, has been off-grid now since April 2005 and the telling comment from his wife is that she does not notice the difference!
 On 01 June, 2010, we re-connected to the power grid. Not because our systems were not working, but strictly to take advantage of the Ontario MicroFit program. This program offers a 20 year contract at 80.2 cents kw/hr for all power produced from a 10kw solar array. The catch being, of course, that we needed to re-connect to the grid in order to get the power there.
So this is where we are at now – we still run the engines during the daytime but instead of going back to the batteries at night we switch to Ontario Hydro. Essentially, we are now using Ontario Hydro as our “battery back-up”. The batteries and the inverters have been taken out of service (see the “for sale” page if interested in getting a good deal!)
As this is a new approach for us, we are not sure how the winter months will be handled, that is a work in progress. We have also changed our engine mix, currently we are using 1 x 6/1, 1 x 10/1 and a Changfa 12hp that will be coming on line shortly.
